Grasslands National Park

At first glance, Grasslands National Park doesn’t look like it offers too much but if you look a little closer it offers more than you ask for.

I had a few goals in mind going on this trip and goal number one was to see a Burrowing Owl. A good photo of one might have been too much to ask but that was goal number 2.

Goals, and especially reaching wildlife photography goals, is a tricky proposition. I’ve always been one to appreciate, and accept, what the universe provides me, but I really, really, really wanted to see a Burrowing Owl.

As fortune would have it - I did see Burring Owls as well as: Sharp-tailed Grouse, Bison, Great Horned Owls, Antelope, Black-tailed Prairie Dogs, Northern Harriers, Swainsons Hawks, Hares, Short-eared Owls, Yellow Warblers and so much more.

Maybe an annual trip…..
